
Nadezhda G.Yarushkina
Nadezhda Glebovna Yarushkina is a professor, Doctor of Technical Sciences, Honored Worker of Higher Professional Education of the Russian Federation, and Distinguished Professor of Ulyanovsk State Technical University (Ulyanovsk State Technical University, Ulyanovsk State Technical University).
In 1984, Nadezhda Yarushkina graduated from Ulyanovsk Polytechnic Institute (now Ulyanovsk State Technical University, Ulyanovsk State Technical University) with a degree in “Electronic Computing Machines.” In 1990, she defended her candidate’s dissertation on the topic “Research and Development of Instrumental Tools for Organizing Dialogue in Problem-Oriented Systems.” Since 1997, she has been the head of the “Information Systems” department at the Faculty of Information Systems and Technologies of Ulyanovsk State Technical University. In 1998, she defended her doctoral dissertation “Automated Design of Complex Technical Systems Under Uncertainty.” Since 2006, she has been the Vice-Rector for Scientific Work, and in 2020, she was elected Rector of Ulyanovsk State Technical University.
Nadezhda Yarushkina is the creator of a new scientific direction in the field of fuzzy and hybrid intelligent systems. She developed the theory of soft expert systems and systems for the intelligent analysis of time series, which is presented in more than 300 published scientific works (including proceedings and conference materials), including seven monographs and 70 articles in peer-reviewed domestic and international journals.
Nadezhda Yarushkina is actively involved in training scientific personnel through doctoral and postgraduate studies. Under her supervision, three Doctors of Science and 20 Candidates of Technical Sciences have been trained.
